Overview |
The newest addition to the Bedford Village Inn property (and Bedford’s oldest building, circa 1763) is the restored Woodbury Cottage that provides luxurious accommodations for an overnight or an event headquarters. |

The Inn Each of our 14 guest suites is individually appointed to delight and comfort our tired guests. We offer four levels of accommodations -- the spacious Gordon and Summit apartment-suites opening onto the central garden; Executive Suites with wet bar, 1 ½ baths and a sunny deck; Deluxe Suites with two large rooms and a wet bar; and our lovely open Luxury Suites with a spacious sitting area. The drape of a beautiful fabric, the luxury of one-of-a-kind furniture or the crafted details in even the smallest piece are intended to please our guests. |
Each room offers a comfortable four-poster king-sized bed, private whirlpool bath, Italian marble and polished brass. And, mindful of your practical needs, all rooms are smart-wired for complimentary high-speed Internet access, 32” flat screen HDTV, DVD entertainment system, premium movie channels, and CD player with MP3/ipod access. |

Great Hall Sweeping up from seasonal gardens, across the deck and soaring three stories, the Great Hall is the heart of The Bedford Inn complex. The room itself seems to open its arms and welcome you and your party as honored guests. In The Great Hall, chandeliers are suspended between pumpkin-wood beams that span the vaulting arch. It is a true showpiece with oversized oriental carpets on the hardwood floors and regional art adorning the walls. |
The Milk Room, a common room in the Great Hall, is a popular location for a small get together and quick business meetings. Not surprisingly, the details for every wedding, banquet, reunion or business function can be left in the hands of our experienced wedding and banquet staff, so you can be the relaxed host of up to 220 delighted guests. |

The Restaurant Even the most cursory glance at our list of Awards will give you an idea of the level of culinary excellence achieved by the chefs at the Bedford Village Inn Restaurant. The contemporary regional New England cuisine is the crown jewel of the estate, garnering myriad accolades and distinguishing it on a national level. The charming building itself however, is comprised of seven unique dining rooms – each an apt setting for the world-class cuisine from our nationally acclaimed Four Diamond culinary team. |
The décor of each room creates a mood that complements the fare. Certified Sommelier Jon Carnevale’s wine cellar features over 700 distinguished labels from around the world and houses over 8,000 bottles from which guests can select the perfect vintage to complement dinner. |

Tavern Each of our eight dining rooms has a distinct atmosphere – its own personality. Nowhere is this more apparent than in our cozy informal Tavern. Drop in for a quick lunch with co-workers or a relaxed dinner with old chums. Tuck yourself into one of the pickety little nooks while you try to make you decision, but be warned: though the tavern is casual, we think you’ll be impressed by the lighter fare available on the Tavern menu. |
But if you prefer to have a fuller luncheon or anything from our complete dinner menu, we’ll be glad to serve it along with your selection from our celebrated wine cellar. |

Corks – A Wine Bar New as of November 2008. The Bedford Village Inn has been known for its impressive wine cellar for over 20 years offering 8,000 bottles and 750 labels for both the novice and sophisticated enophile. We’ve created an elegant, unpretentious wine bar worthy of honoring excellence and toasting great wines by the glass or the bottle. Bamboo floors, rich cherry wood paneling, gold flecked cork wallpaper, leather and plush seating, an ultra modern fireplace, and an under-lit onyx bar all combine to create our sophisticated Urban Chic atmosphere. |
Certified Sommelier Jon Carnevale oversees the wine program blending the old with the new. A 16 bottle Enomatic cruvinet system from Italy uses argon gas to preserve the delicate flavors of exotic wines not usually found by the glass but offered at Corks by the ounce. And there will always be something new to taste, including special barrel samples, flights and personal blends. Corks, of course, offers a full bar and beer on tap along with an exceptional menu. The artwork is as original as the room itself. Acclaimed artist Gerard Puvis from France has created beautiful lithographs using foil wraps from vintage wine bottles to create art forms that are as unique as the process suggests. A state of the art customized sound system ensures that your music “pairs” well with your choice of wines. Come celebrate at Corks!! Corks is open Tuesday through Saturday, 4:30 to 11 pm. A Luxurious Treat Posted by thewebs
Great Place for a Date! Posted by jph2877 Each one was decorated differently with a style all their own. We found a nice cozy candlelit table in a small room and asked to be cancelled from the waitlist. The dinner was one of the most romantic I have had. The wine list is extraordinary and the food looks like art on a plate. We chose to dine off their special tasting menu. Wine is paired with it and each course is a surprise. You have a list of possible options that may be served but I guess they change daily. We chose the six course option but you can have as many as ten! All in all it was a great experience. The service was very personable too.

The following are excerpts from some of the letters we have received: "From the warm greetings at the door to the final goodbyes, all of you were so gracious and accommodating." "Our son, Mark surprised us with a 50th Anniversary Party last Sunday in the Great Hall. It was a beautiful affair and I want to thank you for your efforts. Please thank your entire staff for the excellent service and attentiveness. It was a day we will never forget and all of you at The Bedford Village Inn made it so." "Dinner was outstanding and the service and ambiance flawless. Our guests are still talking about the fabulous evening." " Thanks and appreciation to anyone involved in the presentation of my daughter's wedding. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The personal touch, courtesy, superior service were noticed and appreciated by all. The food was superb, the service excellent, your chef rates a ten in our book. I've received numerous calls from guests absolutely raving about The Bedford Village Inn." "Thank you to all. Our daughter's wedding met and exceeded our every expectation. The food was excellent, the service was always present, but never obtrusive. The gardens and flowers were beautiful. We just can't speak in anything but superlatives." "The Christmas decorations this year are gorgeous. I didn't think it was possible, but every year seems to be more beautiful." "Everything was great - the food, the drink, and, of course, the service. I was very impressed by the number of people who came to the party - who don't usually attend these obligatory 'corporate' functions. I can't tell you how many people said something to the effect of, 'I never miss a chance to come to a party at The Bedford Village Inn.' Just an indication of the unique and exceptional character of the place in the minds of a number of folks." "Our dining experience was truly memorable. The service was impeccable, the food was incredible and the presentation was breathtaking." "Even though it was necessary to do all of the advance planning long distance, I never had a moment's distress due to your attention to detail and evident concern for my satisfaction. I felt confident dealing with you and the confidence was not misplaced. Our event was a great success thanks to you and your fine staff." "I have never been to such a beautiful place. Everywhere you look, the attention to detail is evident. We had a marvelous experience. Thank you." "We loved our stay here. Just like your brochure says, we really felt tension drain when we walked into our room. Our room was lovely and so comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful. Thank you for our memorable stay." "We were delighted beyond words with the enormous success at our Wedding Reception held at The Bedford Village Inn. ...your staff is by far 'the best' we have ever had the pleasure to work with. The professionalism and attention to detail is unsurpassed. Superlatives like wonderful, magnificent, stupendous do not convey the magnitude of our gratitude to all of your staff in making our event so successful." "I have been reminiscing and smiling ever since last Friday night. The only word to describe the wedding was magical!" " I just wanted to tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed our dinner last evening. You made our wedding anniversary perfect! We woke up this morning wishing it was yesterday so we could do it all over again." |
