For a slightly more elegant setting, the Woodbury Cottage offers the Fearon Room with its warm creams and yellows that dramatize wide pine floors.

Among rich antique furnishings is a beautifully carved four-posted peacock maple queen-sized bed. The Victorian Berth is a little room in which Anaïs Nin might have been inspired – a dainty sanctuary of rose medallion wall coverings, hand-painted accents and a twin bed chamber a coucher daringly whispers secrets long anticipated. Finally, the Woodbury Cottage’s master suite: The Van Loan Room welcomes and embraces its guests with a polished match wood floor and a window seat from which to watch and dream. The king-size sleigh bed is crowned with a rose-colored canopy valance and presides over a coterie of carefully chosen accent pieces.
